Katelyn Nguyen, McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science (McC), is from Hoffman Estates, Ill., majoring in biomedical engineering. Her goal is to make healthcare affordable and accessible to everyone by improving the price and effectiveness of medical and bioelectronic devices. At Northwestern, Katelyn has been recognized by McCormick for her academic performance in both her freshman and sophomore years. She was also awarded a research fellowship at the Rogers Lab last summer, which led to a work-study job during the academic year.
